Although I'm not a doctor I most surely like to have a slight knowledge as to everything regarding my son's health.  I find that The Portable Pediatrician: Everything You Need to Know About Your Child's Health by William Sears, MD is a very useful book to have as a part of your library.

The last time we took our son to the pediatrician it turned out he had a yeast infection in his mouth.  Of course, I get so worried at the doctor's office that I sometimes forget to ask key questions in regard to what he has.  As soon as I got home, I looked up yeast infection in the book {p. 542-544}and felt a bit relieved knowing more about the situation.  The book was very helpful and easy to follow.  This book is definitely a keeper and a must have for all parents.
