Traveler MUST HAVE: EatSmart Precision Voyager Digital Luggage Scale

My family and I travel by plane at least twice a year. It so happens that I always overpack and when we go to check in the luggage it turns out that at least one of the suitcases is over the weight limit. Of course, being that we do not want to pay the extra fee we always end up throwing stuff from one suitcase to the other right there at the airport.  The truth is that it is a bit embarrasing.

Lucky us that I had recieved the EatSmart Precision Voyager Digital Luggage Scale.

This has got to be one of the best gadgets I have ever gotten my hands on.  This baby was extremely user friendly.

Several days ago{on Saturday} my husband and I left for a European trip.  This blue suitcase was the one I had packed with bth of our clothes and was meant to be checked in.

As always, I ended up stuffing the suitcase as if I were going to be away for four weeks instead of two.  This bag could only weigh a max of 50 lbs. in order to not have to pay anything for it.

Obviously, I put  my new EatSmart Precision Voyager Digital Luggage Scale to the test.  It was easy and quick to use.  All I had to do was press the 2 side buttons on the clip in order to open it. Afterward,  I secured the strap around the suitcase handle and locked it in place.
It comes with an ON/OFF button. The scale already comes with a battery, but make sure to pull out the little plastic tab that comes in the battery section because at first I thought that the scale was damaged and it wasn't.

I asked my always trusted helper to lift the suitcase and it turned out that the suitcase weighed almost 60 pounds.  The scale was very speedy about calculating the weight. {I think I deleted the pic that showed the number, SORRY}

Then we decided to just take a second suitcase to check in because we could each have one and it would be free if they didn't exceed 50 lbs.  We just reorganized everything and...

the numbers speak for themthelves...

embarrassing moment at the airport averted and lots of money saved!

And then we made sure to throw the scale into one of the suitcases to make sure everything goes well when we fly back.

This is definitely something that every traveler should have, especially if you travel with a brood or like me like to over pack.

BUY IT!

  1. I've got to get my hands on one of these! I travel with friends several times a year, and it never fails that we have to play the "Do you have room in your luggage game?" Thanks for sharing this will definitely save us time at the airport.
